She is a proud graduate of the UWI St. Augustine Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) programme. Her desire to focus on the inextricable link between animal health, human health and the environment steered her to pursue further studies at University College Dublin where she obtained a Master of Public Health with first class honours. She is also deeply rooted in service to humanity and development of young leaders through her work with Junior Chamber International (JCI) Antigua and JCI West Indies where she has served in several capacities to include local president and national director. She currently serves as a veterinary officer in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Agriculture, Trade and Barbuda Affairs in Antigua and Barbuda responsible for mitigating the spread of diseases in animals and preventing the entry of disease into the country. She is particularly passionate about antimicrobial resistance, food safety and biosecurity.
She is focused on the implementation of climate friendly policies to improve animal health, human health and food safety practices. She is a national steering committee member of the Global Environment Facility Small Grants Programme and member of the Society for Veterinary Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine. Outside of her love for animals, community service, health, wellness and the environment, she has a passion for dance. She resides in St. John’s, Antigua and has a zeal for inspiring and empowering all those around her.
