The UWI FIFA CIES under the Department of Management Studies presents a Public Lecture on Marketing/Sponsorship of Global Sporting Events, featuring Mr. Sebastian Rubio, CEO – Zsports and FIFA/CIES Lecturer in Sports Marketing.
The lecture takes place on Saturday 26th January 2019 at 2.00 pm at the Teaching and Learning Complex, Lecture Theatre B, UWI St. Augustine Campus.

About the Speaker
Sebastian Rubio is the CEO and Founder of ZPORTS, a Sports Marketing Agency based in Lima, Peru whose mission is to connect brands to sports and promote it as marketing, social and health tool. Mr. Rubio worked for more than 10 years overseas (Europe, US and Latam) within different management roles in the Sporting Goods Industry (Nike Inc., Converse Inc.) before launching ZSPORTS.
Mr. Rubio is also a member of CIES (International Center for Sport Studies) network of global speakers and board member of the Lima Polo Club. He is also the CIES/FIFA Coordinator for the Sports Management Executive Program at Universidad San Martin (USMP), Lima, Peru, and the part time lecturer in Sports Marketing at USMP.
His main business units include Soccer Academies (Boca Jrs Schools), FIFA CIES Sports Management Program, Specialty stores (The Futbol Store), Sporting Events (Liga Futbol 7, Sport Bizz Latam Congress), Sport Centers (Lima, Asia) and Sport Sponsorship Consultancy (Audit Sport)
He has a Bachelor by Universidad de Lima (Industrial Engineering), MBA by Instituto de Empresa (Madrid) and Melbourne Business School (Australia).
He is an active sportsman, practicing soccer, surfing, polo and tennis.
