Financial Economics degree programme over a period of one calendar year, full-time, and two calendar years, part-time:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The degree will be made up of a core set of seven (7) courses and one (1) elective, one of which can be an approved extra-departmental course and a Research Project.<\/li>\n<li>Examinations for the Year Long Theory courses will normally be held at the end of Semester II, although some mid-course testing may be scheduled at the end of Semester I.<\/li>\n<li>An internship programme, may be undertaken as an optional part of the research project requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Pre-course upgrading or retooling in Econometrics and Mathematics for Economists is highly recommended.<\/li>\n<li>Students in the graduate programme are required to have successfully read the course ECON 3008 History of Economic Thought prior to entry.
