We hope that all is well with you and your family!

In light of the global COVID-19 pandemic, the DCIT remains committed to delivering a high-quality education and learning experience to you, our valued students.

With reference to the Government of Trinidad and Tobago’s mandate for the closure of schools and learning institutions until 20 April, 2020, as a necessary step to aid in the prevention of the spread of COVID-19, the University has implemented some unprecedented measures to enable you to continue/complete your degree programme.

As such, on Monday 23rd March, 2020, all DCIT courses will be delivered online; the staff will ensure that the necessary processes as they relate to the course content is prepared in the most suitable format. Although we are faced with this unique situation, which does not allow face to face contact with your lecturers and/or tutors, they are still available, via MyElearning, to address any concerns and issues that you may encounter with your course(s). Please do not hesitate to contact them. Also a virtual helpdesk facility would be provided for all students (same personnel as the physical one).

You are encouraged to keep checking The UWI website and your student’s email for updates.

As it relates to your safety and that of your family, we also encourage you to continue to adhere to the recommended hygienic practices, social distancing and other healthful guidelines which can better halt the spread of this dreadful virus.

We wish you a safe and successful study as we navigate these challenging times together.

Sincerely
