Tricia Basdeo graduated from The University of the West Indies, St. Augustine Campus, in 2013, with a BSc in Psychology and a minor in Gender and Development Studies. She founded the S.I.M.P.L.E. Foundation (Smiles Ignited Making Precious Lights Everywhere) in 2011, to assist underprivileged children in Trinidad and Tobago. She is the President. Currently, she is enrolled as an MSc student at the IGDS at The UWI, St. Augustine Campus. Her research focuses on perceptions of "intimate partner violence" by men and women in Trinidad and Tobago.
