Qualifications and Experience
The successful candidate must possess a BSc from a recognized university.

Candidates should also possess:

  • At least five (5) years’ experience in Speech Writing, Proposal Writing or related writing skill
  • A track record of skills acquired in the following areas:

             o Critical Judgement
             o Using Information Technology
             o Research
             o Planning and Organizing
             o Writing skills
             o Presentation development including the use of effective visual aids

Candidates with the following would have an advantage:

  • At least three (3) years’ experience in developing, coordinating and producing content for various communications
  • Prior experience in preparing publications such as technical papers, manuscripts and journal articles

At least three (3) years’ experience in the use of Microsoft Office Suite would be considered an

Special Responsibilities

  • Researching and preparing background papers, speeches, visual aids and presentations for the Campus Principal and ensuring that technical support for the delivery is in place
  • Engaging in research projects identified by the Campus Principal and providing support in the preparation of proposals
  • Providing support in developing grant proposals, working along with representatives from STACIE for support in grant completion and submission processes
  • Collaborating with the Campus Principal to prepare publications such as technical papers, manuscripts and journal articles
  • Monitoring industry and business news across all channels in areas specific to the Campus Principal strategic focus and research agenda
  • Managing content planning including development and amplification of messages specific to the OCP in coordination with the OCP team, and working with stakeholders internally and externally to obtain, develop and approve such content
  • Partnering with the Marketing and Communications Office to inform and advise on both ongoing communications work and areas of opportunity
  • Preparing written communiques under the supervision of the Programme Officer
  • Performing any other related duties as assigned
