Grace Bhagwandeen attained her Bachelor of Laws Degree with First Class Honours at the University Of The West Indies, St. Augustine in 2013. She was also the Valedictorian for her graduating class. She then attained her Legal Education Certificate from Hugh Wooding Law School in 2015. She was admitted to practise law in Trinidad and Tobago in 2015. After admission to practise, she began to work in private practice in Trinidad and Tobago in the area of property law and company law. She then worked at the Public Service Appeal Board of Trinidad and Tobago as a Legal Research Officer. She then was admitted to the bar in Guyana in September 2019 and worked in Guyana in the area of criminal law. She continued in private practice in Trinidad and Tobago in the area of corporate law, where she then pursued her Master of Laws Degree in Corporate and Commercial Law with Distinction at the University of The West Indies, St. Augustine from 2020-2021. She joined the Faculty of Law in September 2022 and has taught Contract Law, Criminal Law, Law and Legal Systems, Company Law, Real Property, Legal Methods, Research and Writing, and has been one of the supervisors for the Supervised Independent Research Paper. She has a passion for corporate and commercial law and human rights particularly women\u2019s rights and children\u2019s rights and is currently publishing in these areas. Her areas of academic interest are property law, company law, corporate law, criminal law, intellectual property law, oil and gas law and the rights of the child and the rights of women.<\/span><\/p>\n
