Overview:<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

Get the skills to undertake complex matters in Corporate & Commercial Law before international tribunals, ordinary courts and the Caribbean Court of Justice. The Corporate and Commercial Law specialism covers areas of law such as Banking Law, Company Law, Corporate Finance, Corporate Governance, Corporate Insolvency Law and Insurance Law. Graduates will be equipped to address issues and problems arising in these areas and moreover, to serve as consultants, legal advisors and policy advisors to clients, including corporations and regional Governments.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2714\ufe0f A law degree from a university recognized by the UWI Board for Graduate Studies and Research<\/span>
\u2714\ufe0f Technical diplomas from recognized tertiary level institutions OR;<\/span>
\u2714\ufe0f Applicants without a law background may also be considered (subject to additional criteria or conditions.<\/em><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Course of Study<\/strong><\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

The core courses, Legislative Drafting, Public Law I (Advanced Constitutional Law), Public Law II (Advanced Administrative Law), and either:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u2714\ufe0f Two additional UWI LLM courses; or<\/span><\/span>
\u2714\ufe0f A\u00a0single LLM course and a Research Paper; or<\/span><\/span>
\u2714\ufe0f A\u00a0single LLM course and engage in the Supervised Legislative Drafting Internship.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
