Dr. Vanus James speaks on Domestic Capital and Economic Development

As a part of its  Demas/Rampersad Lecture Series,  the Department of Economics will be hosting a lecture by Dr. Vanus James titled “Domestic Capital and Economic Development: Theory and Evidence.” It will take place on Thursday 19th November, 2009, at 1 pm in LRC Lecture Rm 2.  

 

Dr. Vanus James Biography

Dr. James is a mathematical economist and statistician/econometrician. His past credentials include being a Senior Policy Adviser at the United Nations Development Programme and to the Government of Trinidad and Tobago, Coordinator of the Policy Development Unit of the Planning Institute of Jamaica and founding Director of the public sector’s Policy Research and Development Institute, Trinidad and Tobago.

Currently he is an Honorary Senior Research Fellow at the School for Graduate Studies and Research, UWI (Mona).
