Back At The Track - A composerís forum

Event Date(s): 11/03/2010

Location: DCFA Studio IV (New Classroom) Gordon Street, St. Augustine

The Department of Creative and Festival Arts (DCFA) hosts Back At The Track - A composer’s forum, presented by Jerry Tolson, Associate Professor of Music Education and Jazz Studies at the University of Louisville, on Thursday 11th March, 2010, from 1:30-3:30 pm, at the DCFA Studio IV (New Classroom) Gordon Street, St. Augustine.

“The title track of the CD, Back at the Track, is not only a tribute to the heritage of horse racing in the city of Louisville,  Kentucky, but also a reflection of the feeling that composers, writers, and other creative minds have when they are able to return to an unfinished project and are inspired to complete it. This tune that is based on a minor blues progression is a result of breaking through that so called writer’s block,” (from CD liner notes).
