The Instructional Development Unit (IDU) will host the Teaching Dossier/Portfolio Development Workshop on Wednesday 14th and Thursday 15th April, 2010, from 9 am-12:30 pm, at the IDU Conference Room.

This workshop is of special interest to faculty applying for the 2010 UWI/Guardian Life ‘Premium’ Teaching Award. It focuses on teaching excellence as required in the 21st century which is highlighted by the ability to integrate technology into teaching and learning, from PowerPoint to learning management systems to social networks and beyond.

Workshop Topics:

• Structure and Characteristics of the Dossier/Portfolio
• Teaching Philosophy
• Evidence of Effective Teaching including the integration of technology
