The Music Unit of the Department of Creative and Festival Arts (DCFA), in association with the Holy Saviour Anglican Church, Curepe, presents “Percussion and Steel,” their annual end of year extravaganza. The concert will be held on Saturday 24th April, 2010, at 7:30 pm, at Daaga Auditorium. 

This is its fifteenth annual end of year production and will feature some of the finest instrumental ensembles of the Music Unit including the  unique UWI Percussion (of ‘Rainmakers’ fame) directed by Dr. Jeannine Remy and the ever popular UWI Caribbean Contemporary Music Workshop conducted by Superintendant Enrique Moore. Other ensembles will include the Junior Steelpan Ensemble conducted by Deryck Nurse, former head of the Regiment Steelband, and the exciting African Drumming and Indian Music Ensembles.

Tickets are priced at $100 for general admission and $75 for students with ID. They may be obtained at the DCFA, Gordon Street, UWI, St. Augustine or at the Holy Saviour Anglican Church Office.
