The Department of Food Production hosts a seminar by Dr. Natalia Inagaki de Albuquerque, titled “Experiences with the intensive production of the Collared Peccary [Tayassu tajacu] at EMBRAPA, Brazil,” on  Thursday 29th April, 2010, from noon-1:30 pm, at Room 27, Sir Frank Stockdale Building, Faculty of Science and Agriculture.  

 

About Dr. Inagaki

Dr. Inagaki is a Neo-tropical Animal Scientist at EMBRAPA, Belem, Brazil. She is a graduate of Medicina Veterinária from Universidade Federal Rural da Amazônia (1986) and obtained her Master of Ciências Animais e Pastagens from the Escola Superior de Agricultura Luiz de Queiroz (1993) and her Ph.D. Ciências from Centro de Energia Nuclear na Agricultura/Unuversity of Sao Paulo (2006).  

Dr. Inagaki has experience in Animal Production focusing on the development of Animal Production Systems with the following Neo-tropical Animals:

  • Collared Peccary/Quenk [Tayassu tajacu]
  • Lappe [Agouti paca]
  • Capybara [Hydrochoerus hydrochaeris]
