Faculty Leadership Pilot Program

The Government of Canada is seeking applications from Canadian publicly funded institutions for the Faculty Leadership Pilot Program. 

The Faculty Leadership Pilot Program is a branch of the Canada-CARICOM Leadership Program that provides professional development opportunities to academic faculty members who wish to upgrade their knowledge and skills in Canada at the graduate level and to International Liaison Officers (ILO's) who are responsible for promoting international mobilisation between their home countries and Canada.

The goal of the Faculty Leadership Pilot Program is to support international collaboration and mobilisation of faculty members and staff between Canadian post-secondary institutions and those in the Caribbean.

Description:

  • Faculty members are hosted by a Canadian public institution for a period of 5 to 6 months to undertake study or research at the graduate level and will receive $10,000 to cover transportation, living and other related expenses during the recipient's stay in Canada.
  • Faculty members are hosted by a Canadian public institution for a minimum period of 14 days (not including travel time) to study or conduct research and will receive $3,000 to cover transportation, living and other related expenses during the recipient's stay in Canada.
  • International Liaison Officers (ILO's) are hosted by Canadian institutions for a minimum period of 14 days (not including travel time) to learn about Canadian University programs in order to promote collaborations and will receive a scholarship of $3,000 to cover transportation, living and other related expenses during the recipient's stay in Canada.
