Professor Peter Michael Heck presents on Material Flow Management

The UWI Faculty of Engineering will host a presentation by Professor Peter Michael Heck, Managing Director of the Institute for Applied Material Flow Management (IfaS), on Monday 26th July, 2010, at 1 pm, at Lecture Theatre 2, Block 13, Faculty of Engineering, UWI.  

Professor Heck is a professor of Material Flow Management at the University of Applied Sciences Trier, Environmental Campus in Birkenfeld, Germany, and at Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University in Japan.  

Material Flow Management is a relatively new inter-disciplinary field which involves a step-by-step analysis of existing material and energy flows, the implementation of proven and innovative technologies on a sound economic basis, as well as the set up and management of the key actor network. Professor Heck's work includes renewable energy, circular economy, sustainable communities and resource management and waste-to-energy systems.
