Event

The Carnival Studies Unit, DCFA, presents its 7^th annual Kaiso Dialogues Awards, on Tuesday 2nd November, 2010, at 7 pm, at the Staff Social Club, UWI, St. Augustine. 

The overall purpose of the event is to laud the work of outstanding artists in the genres of Calypso, Chutney, Soca, Extempo and Rapso. Awardees for 2010 are Shadow, Ronnie Mc Intosh and Brigo. Moderators will speak with the artists in an interactive setting, whereby the public will learn about the artists’ lives and experiences outside of their stage performances. At the end of the discussion, artists will be awarded for their outstanding contribution to their respective genres by the DCFA. Previous Kaiso Dialogues awardees include Mr. David Rudder, Rikki Jai, Bomber, Machel Montano, Karega Mandela and Super Blue.
