The Sauvé Scholars Foundation is currently accepting applications for the 2011-2012 Sauvé Scholars Program, developed for young leaders across the globe who want to change the world. This programme is aimed at helping to prepare young adults of merit so that they can develop their potential and skills, to be used towards making a difference and building a better future for the societies of tomorrow.

The Scholars are chosen on the basis of the following criteria laid out by the programme’s sponsor, the Right Honourable Jeanne Sauvé, Canadian journalist, politician, and stateswoman:

• Initiative
• Motivation
• Vision
• Imagination
• Demonstrated communication skills
• Awareness of international and domestic issues
• A strong desire to effect change
