Please see below for details on the plays and their directors:
Kristin Jaggan directs Endgame, by noted writer, Samuel Beckett. Endgame lies in the realm of absurd theatre that deals with man’s reaction to a world without apparent meaning.
Jeremy King will direct Two Choices, written by Victor Questel. The play is based on very current issues dealing with political choices.
Camille Clarke-Smith will direct Frank Mc Field’s Downside Up, which tells the story of five characters in a small fishing family who reflect the true nature of their culture and beliefs of morality, Christianity and superstition.
Festival Theatre Company’s (FesTCo) collective Sayings, directed by Elliot Francois, draws on the rich festival performance modes of Trinidad and Tobago and the wider Caribbean. Sayings was written in 2009 by students (now graduates) of DCFA and premiered at the CARA International Theatre Festival, where it was well received. This will be the first local showing.
