Event

The Literatures in English Section of the Department of Liberal Arts, hosts an Open Day for CAPE students and their secondary school teachers throughout Trinidad and Tobago, on Friday 25^th February, 2011, from 9:30 am-12:30 pm, at the LRC. The morning will comprise educational talks, motivational and career speeches, and other activities.

This Open Day event, approved by the Ministry of Education, aims to generate students’ interest in pursuing a higher degree in Literatures in English at The UWI. The event will showcase the courses available in the Major in Literatures in English programme, exposing secondary school students to the ways in which these courses can be combined with other academic programmes and highlight the possible career paths the degree can offer.

A maximum of 15 students and 2 teachers per school are welcome to attend. Schools interested in participating in this event, can e-mail Giselle.Rampaul@sta.uwi.edu or Geraldine.Skeete@sta.uwi.edu as soon as possible, specifying the numbers of students and staff that will be attending.
