Five films from the Festival, which ran in Trinidad in November 2010, will be shown at the Daaga Hall Auditorium from Friday 18th to Sunday 20th February, 2011. The other five films will be shown on Campus as part of the popular Indian Cine-Club series which ran throughout 2010 and which will be revived in the coming weeks.
Commenting on the inaugural Campus Indian Film Festival, Dr Christopher Meir, Lecturer in the Film Programme, said “We are very pleased to bring such an exciting batch of films to the St. Augustine Campus. We are very grateful to the International Office and to the Indian High Commissioner, His Excellency Sri Malay Mishra, for their help in making this festival happen. We believe that this festival will greatly enrich the Campus community and we look forward, not only to these screenings, but also the resumption of the very popular Indian Cine-Club.”
