The Department of Behavioural Sciences hosts a seminar by Mr. Bertram H. Telemaque, on Thursday 24th March, 2011, from 10:30 am-12:30 pm, at the Dean’s Meeting Room, Faculty of Social Sciences. Mr. Telemaque will discuss his thesis, titled “The Impact of Transition to privatization of a Statutory Corporation: A Study of Job Satisfaction.”  

 

Abstract

This thesis investigates the impact of  transition to privatization or privatization on levels of employees' job satisfaction, during exchange relations involving cost or effort for rewards,  through social interaction in the workplace. Using objective research methods, the study uncovered and answered many salient questions critical to the viability and sustainability of the privatization initiative, as it relates to employees' job satisfaction, employees attitudes, productivity and social exchange at the Trinidad and Tobago Postal Corporation (TTPost), a statutory corporation in Trinidad and Tobago.  To find out more, please contact Ms. Nimba Wahtuse at 662-2002 ext. 2571.
