IDU makes significant contributions to Caribbean education

Event Date(s): 29/04/2011

Location: Office of the Campus Principal

The UWI Instructional Development Unit (IDU) launches the Educational Research Association (ERA) and the Caribbean Teaching Scholar (CTS) on Friday 29th April 2011, at 5 pm, at the Office of the Campus Principal.

Both the ERA and CTS are significant contributions to the academic arena. The proposed ERA is an umbrella body, focusing on research in all disciplinary areas of education, at all levels. The ERA endeavours to bring together a range of institutions whose resources and expertise will be pooled, to advance a more comprehensive research agenda, that will have greater benefits nationally and beyond.

The CTS, an electronically published peer reviewed journal, with occasional or special hard copy editions, focuses on research and the scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL) within tertiary-level education.
