The Caribbean Educators Network (CEN) hosts a free Caribbean Online Educators Conference (e-conference) from 8th-13th August, 2011, under the theme 'Open For Learning: Using Technology To Move Forward.' The theme captures the notion of openness through the use of technology as a way of advancing learning and professional development. Openness in education addresses the broad themes of access to education, the development of open educational resources and the use of technology promote open educational resources.
