The Institute for Gender and Development Studies: The Nita Barrow Unit, The University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus, and the Motherhood Initiative for Research and Community Involvement (MIRCI) will host an international conference titled Mothers and Mothering in a Global Context. This conference is carded for 24^th-25^th February, 2012, at Christ Church, Barbados. This conference explores motherhood and mothering in a global context by highlighting the commonality and also the diversity in how mothers care for children and others across and beyond borders and cultures.
