The UWI Cocoa Research Unit hosts the "Train-the-Trainers Workshop for Farmer Field Schools (FFS)," as a part of the Centre for the Development of Enterprise (CDE) funded project entitled “Caribbean Fine Flavour Cocoa Industry Commercialisation: CAR-RFO.”  This workshop will take place from Monday 21st to Wednesday 23rd November, 2011, beginning at 8.30 am each day, at the Institute of Critical Thinking.

At this workshop professionals and farmers from seven participating countries in the region share best practices from their various territories and agree on a methodology for training cocoa farmers.

Following this workshop trained personnel will return to their countries and conduct Farmer Field Schools with the aim of improving the production and quality of cocoa from the region.

Attendance at this workshop is by invitation only.
