IIR hosts lecture on Britain, the Caribbean and the Americas: Historic Friends and Future Partners

The Institute for International Relations (IIR) hosts a guest lecture by Minster Jeremy Browne MP,  Minister of State at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, on Monday 23rd January, 2012, from 2.15-3.15 pm, at IIR, Lecture Room 1.

Minister Browne will deliver his lecture on the topic Britain, the Caribbean and the Americas: Historic Friends and Future Partners, during which he will focus on the UK-Caribbean relationship and take questions on wider issues, including the UK relations with the Americas.

 

About Jeremy Browne MP

Jeremy Browne was appointed Minister of State at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office on 14th May 2010.

Browne was born in 1970 and attended Bedales School in Petersfield, UK. He studied Politics at Nottingham University where he was president of the students’ union.

He worked as a public affairs consultant at Dewe Rogerson Ltd from 1994-1996 and at Edelman Communications Worldwide from 2000-2002.  He was Associate Director of Reputation Inc from 2003-2004.

Browne was elected to Parliament in 2005 as MP for Taunton.
