UWI’s Guild of Students Carnival activities

The University’s Guild of Students’ is hosting a variety of activities for Campus Carnival 2012.   

“Women in Soca,” a public discussion on the messages and lives of women in the soca industry, takes place on February 8th, from 7-9pm at the Daaga Auditorium.  

On February 9th, the Guild hosts its Calypso Competition where both staff and students can show off their musical talents. This event is from 6-9pm, on the JFK Greens. 

Friday February 10th will be an exciting day on Campus with the Guild’s Ole Mas Parade from 11.30am-1pm, at the JFK Quadrangle, followed by its Soca Fete from 10pm-3am, at the JFK Car Park.    

Last on the Guild’s list is its Chutney Fete, carded for February 11th, from 9pm-2am, at the JFK Car Park.
