As a part of its commemoration of Trinidad and Tobago’s 50th year of independence, themed “In the Fires of Hope: 50 Years of Independence in Trinidad and Tobago,” the UWI’s Department of History hosts a panel discussion entitled, "Fifty Years Are Gone, How Yuh Feel?: Carnival 1962-2012." This event is carded for Thursday 9th February, 2012, at 6pm, at NALIS, Port of Spain, and features esteemed authorities in their field Ray Holman (Pan), Peter Samuel (Mas) and Professor Gordon Rohlehr (Calypso).
The event will also feature a pierrot grenade, entertainment with costumes and music and a reception following the discussion.
