As a part of its commemoration of Trinidad and Tobago’s 50^th year of independence, themed “In the Fires of Hope: 50 Years of Independence in Trinidad and Tobago,” the UWI’s Department of History hosts a panel discussion entitled, "Fifty Years Are Gone, How Yuh Feel?: Carnival 1962-2012."  This event is carded for Thursday 9^th February, 2012, at 6pm, at NALIS, Port of Spain, and features esteemed authorities in their field Ray Holman (Pan), Peter Samuel (Mas) and Professor Gordon Rohlehr (Calypso).

The event will also feature a pierrot grenade, entertainment with costumes and music and a reception following the discussion.
