In commemoration of International Women’s Day, the Institute for Gender and Development Studies (IGDS) hosts a public lecture by Dr. Martina Rieker, Director of the Institute for Gender and Women’s Studies at the American University, Cairo, on 14^th March, 2012, from 6-8 pm, at the Daaga Auditorium.  

The IGDS will also launch its research project, undertaken in collaboration with the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) and the Canadian High Commission, titled “Politics, Power and Gender Justice in the Anglophone Caribbean: Women’s Understandings of Politics, Experiences of Political Contestation and the Possibilities for Gender Transformation.”
