The Trinidad and Tobago Memory of the World travelling exhibition is now on display in the West Indiana and Special Collections section of the Alma Jordan Library during the month of February.
The UNESCO Memory of the World programme recognizes and maintains registers of documentary heritage of international, regional and national significance. Each register is an approved list of documentary heritage and the Trinidad and Tobago register currently has nine collections listed, including the Carlisle Chang Collection, CLR James Collection, Constantine Collection, Derek Walcott Collection, Digital Pan Archive, Donald “Jackie” Hinkson, Eric Williams Memorial Collection, Records of Indian Indentured Labourers, and Slave Registers of Trinidad and Tobago. Four of these collections are held at The UWI and will be featured in this exhibition.
