Shenzhen Aihua Arts Troupe visits UWI

All are invited to the performance by the 14-member Chinese artistic group- The Shenzhen Aihua Arts Troupe on Sunday 13th May, 2012 at the Daaga Auditorium. The troupe will be performing Chinese songs and putting on cultural dances from 6-8pm.

ABOUT THE TROUPE

The Shenzhen Aihua Arts Troupe was established with the approval of the Shenzhen government and Department of Culture in November of 2006. As the classic art production base of Shenzhen and artist practice base of the School, it is administered by Shenzhen Arts School.

The troupe has invited a number of excellent art professionals and young performing artist both in and out of China (especially Shenzhen) as its mainstay, and enrolled outstanding middle-aged and young teachers of Shenzhen Arts School, most of who graduated from Beijing Dance Academy, Central Conservatory of Music, China Conservatory of Music, Shanghai Conservatory of Music and other famous international art university, and also professional students that won the prize in National “Peaches and Plums Cup” Dance Tournament and other art competitions, thus builds itself into a professional performing troupe with solid professional strength and sound art original creation capability.

Recently, the Shenzhen Arts School has continuously made momentous achievement in accordance with the implementation of the city’s strategy to develop its cultural endeavor, and the development of its piano education. The School has cultivated some well-known world-class pianists like Yundi Li, Chen Sha, Zhang Haochen.  The Shenzhen Arts School has gained an ever-growing social influence recently, it has become an art stage for artists to bring their talent into play and to demonstrate their intelligence. Since 2007, Shenzhen Aaihua Arts Troupe has conducted many international cultural exchange programs assigned by the Ministry of Culture of China and Shenzhen Municipality. The troupe has performed in lots of countries and regions such as Greece, Germany, Hungary, Russia, Thailand, Cuba Colombia, etc. Its performances are well-recognized by the public. The troupe will maintain its sprit of innovation and earnest pursuit in arts to achieve more accomplishment in Arts, and enthusiastically integrate teaching with performance, theory with practice.
