The Department of Liberal Arts hosts Dialogues 2012 – Liberal Arts: Crossings 1996-2012, at 4pm.
On August 1st 2012, the Department of Modern Language and Linguistics and the Department of Literary, Cultural and Communication Studies will both replace the Department of Liberal Arts.
As a result, the Department of Liberal Arts takes the opportunity to reflect on its development, the high points, benefits and challenges during the period 1996 – 2012, during which Liberal Arts was operational.
Dialogues 2012 will also host the launch of several books, and a film by scholars in the Department, in the areas of cultural studies, languages, linguistics and literature. The authors and contributors who will be launching their works are Jean Antoine-Dunne, Beatrice Boufoy-Bastick, Joseph Farquharson, Maarit Forde, Paula Morgan, and Nicole Roberts and Elizabeth Walcott Hackshaw.
