The Caribbean Centre for Competitiveness (CCfC) hosts a workshop titled ‘Global Value Chains and Industry Competitiveness in the Caribbean; Identifying Opportunities for Growth,’ from 8th-12th October, 2012, at 8am, at the Institute of Critical Thinking.

This workshop will equip participants with the following skills:

  1. The tools to analyse the dynamic nature of world trade and the evolution of exports over the past decade
  2. An understanding of how to map value chains and identify lead firms, key markets and trends occurring in specific industries
  3. Ability to identify where local firms are positioned in the value chains
  4. A framework to analyse their local institutional framework to identify key constraints to competitiveness for firms in their country
  5. Ability to identify key stakeholders and policy areas that may require changes to promote industry competitiveness
  6. Develop practical experience through the practicum
 

Registration Fee: US $100

Workshop Fee: US $1900 (includes Workshop Materials, Lunch and Breaks for five days)
