The University of the West Indies (UWI) St. Augustine Film Programme in conjunction with the High Commission of India, Port of Spain hosts the Indian Film Festival from January 27 to February 2, 2013 at the Daaga Auditorium, UWI St. Augustine. The weeklong festival celebrates the 100-year-old tradition of Indian cinema. The inaugural ceremony on January 27 also includes an address to mark the celebration of India’s Republic Day Holiday.
The opening screening will take place on January 27 at 6:00 pm in Daaga Hall. The screenings will be held from January 28 to February 1 in the Institute of Critical Thinking, UWI at 5:30 pm, with the exception of January 27 and February 2 which will begin at 6:00 pm. The closing screening will take place at Daaga Hall at 6:00 pm on February 2.
All screenings are free and open to the public.
