First-year students, do you know what jobs you can pursue with your major?
Sign up for the Career Advice Programme (CAP) offered by Student Advisory Services (SAS), at the SAS front desk, and receive career advice and review industry and employment trends for Caribbean countries. The programme is a series of career advice workshops organised by Student Advisory Services (SAS), and is a component of the First Year Experience (FYE), The UWI's official year-long orientation programme.
It is a step-by-step guide to career planning and development which introduces students to the career decision-making process. The workshops will expose students to various career options based on their current major of study, assist them in identifying resources to begin career research and planning, and provide them with a three-year development plan.
Additionally, CAP will help students make informed career decisions by providing them with labour market information for the three major countries where the UWI campuses are located, and allow them an opportunity to take an online caerrer assessment programme (SIGI3) as a tool in creating an individualised career plan.
