The Conference on the Economy (COTE) has been in existence for the past seven years as the flagship conference of The UWI’s Department of Economics. COTE is a conference where findings from quality research and other studies are presented to inform the Department’s stakeholders on economic and social policy. The Department also takes this opportunity to honour a former Head of Department of Economics. This year the Department honours Dr Ralph Henry, former Head of Department for the period 1990 – 1994.
The theme of COTE 2013 is “Managing for Development in Caribbean Economies: Addressing the Challenges of Poverty and Inequality”. The conference takes place from October 10-11, 2013, at the Learning Resource Centre, UWI St. Augustine. Feature speaker is Dr. Euric Bobb, former Governor of the Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago.
Registration cost: TTD$1,500 per delegate

The debate will be moderated by Mr. Peter Kelly and takes place Thursday October 3, 2013, at 1pm, at the Learning Resource Centre (LRC) Auditorium, UWI, St. Augustine.
