SALISES elections forum

The Sir Arthur Lewis Institute of Social and Economic Studies (SALISES) hosts a forum on The Recent Elections in Trinidad and Tobago: implications for national politics. It takes place on Wednesday November 13, 2013, at 10am, at the Noor Hassanali Auditorium. Discussions shall centre on the elections for the Tobago House of Assembly and the fourteen municipalities in Trinidad, as well as the by-elections for Chaguanas West and St. Joseph. 

Panellists are:

- Mr Faris Al-Rawi, Opposition Senator and PNM Public Relations Officer

- Dr Roodal Moonilal, Government Minister and Leader of Government Business

- Professor Selwyn Ryan, Political Scientist and Former Director SALISES, UWI

- Representative of the Independent Liberal Party. 

The session shall be chaired by Professor Patrick Watson, Director, Sir Arthur Lewis Institute of Social and Economic Studies, University of the West Indies.

Members of the UWI community, the media and the general public are invited to attend and take part in the discussions that follow the presentation of the panellists.

The Noor Hassanali Auditorium is housed on the same site as the SALISES, on the western side of the main Campus of the UWI, St Augustine, adjacent to, and north of, the Institute of International Relations.
