The Department of Life Sciences, Faculty of Science and Technology, hosts a Climate Change Project Workshop, titled Global-Local Caribbean Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation Scenarios (GoLoCarSce), on February 12 and 13, 2014.
The workshop takes place at the Student Affairs (Admissions) Buidling Conference Room, from 8.30am-4.30 on Day 1, and 8.30am-3.30pm on Day 2.
Workshop objectives:
- To share and present the findings and progress of each component to date
- To conduct a data needs assessment for each project component

The project titled Global-Local Caribbean Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation (GoLoCarSce) was approved for funding by the African, Caribbean and Pacific Group of States (ACP Group). This project is designed to improve the scientific understanding of the effects of climate change on the ecological, social, political and economic systems of the small islands of the Caribbean through the development of a set of locally relevant, socio-economic scenarios for the Caribbean.
