The UWI St. Augustine Campus in conjunction with the Lab Safety Institute presents a 3 day course in Lab Safety Management, from April 29 – May 1, 2014, at the St. Augustine Campus.  

Facilitator is Dr Jim Kaufman (President/CEO), the Laboratory Safety Institute (LSI), Massachusetts, USA. 

Course objectives

Participants will become familiar with the basic principles in laboratory safety techniques, lab standards (ISO 17025), equipment safety and laboratory hazard evaluation techniques.  

Laboratory technicians and managers, HSE professionals, students, secondary school science teachers, and other interested persons are welcome to participate.
