International Spanish Language Day at CLL

The Secretariat for the Implementation of Spanish in collaboration with the Spanish Section of the Department of Modern Languages and Linguistics and the Centre for Language Learning (CLL) are celebrating International Spanish Language Day on Wednesday April 23rd, 2014.

The event will take place at the Centre for Language Learning (CLL) from 11am-2pm. Come and see the displays, experience music, attend a round-table session and watch the amazing “Rastapunzel”, a play performed by the Spanish students of the St. Augustine campus. Admission is free.

International Spanish Language Day is celebrated around the world in commemoration of the death of one of the most influential novelists, poets and playwrights of all times, Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra, author of Don Quixote de la Mancha.
