Caribbean Child Rights Observatory Network (CCRON) Launch

The Institute of International Relations (IIR) hosts the launch of the Caribbean Child Rights Observatory Network (CCRON) from May 15-16, 2014, from 9am on both days, at IIR Lecture Room 1.

The event is open to the public from lunchtime onwards on the second day. Attendance on the first day and first half of the second day is by invitation only.

The CCRON will operate as a regional network of children’s rights organisations and will monitor the implementation of the Convention on the Rights of the Child as well as act as an advocate for children’s issues.

The Child Rights Hub Project of the IIR stems from the MOU signed by The UWI and UNICEF in January 2014, to establish a hub for the creation and facilitation of the Caribbean Child Rights Observatory Network (CCRON).
