Esoteric - Musical Arts Unit student recital

The Department of Creative and Festival Arts (DCFA) Musical Arts Unit presents Cherysh La Touche and Jeanine Ruiz in the final year recital ‘Esoteric’ at the new Teaching and Learning Complex Auditorium, on Sunday June 15, 2014, at 7pm. Admission is free.

A student of Mr. Satanand Sharma, Jeanine will be performing on the piano works by Chopin, Hiromi Uehara, Oliver Messiaen, Bill Douglas and original compostions with members of her Jazz fusion band, HYJINX. She will also perform with Alternative Quartet cellist, Wasia Ward.

Cherysh is a voice student of Mr. Jessel Murray, Head of the DCFA. She will perform a wide variety of classical works from Paolo Tosti, Mozart, Schubert, as well as broadway standards from musical productions such as ‘Thoroughly Modern Millie’, ‘Chicago’, ‘Wicked’, ‘Cabaret’ and ‘The Princess and the Frog’. She will also perform duets with soprano Nicole Wong-Chong and operatic soprano and mentor, Natalia Dopwell.

This performance is for anyone who has a passion for the arts or who simply enjoys live performance.
