Symposium on Mathematics and its Applications

The Institute of Mathematical Sciences, in collaboration of the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, Department of Computing and Information Technology and the Faculty of Science and Technology, hosts a Symposium on Mathematics and its Applications (SMIA), on Tuesday June 17, 2014, at 9am, at the Institute of Critical Thinking, Centre for Language Learning. 

The symposium aims to promote and support understanding, teaching, research and applications of mathematics.

All interested staff and students are invited. 

There will be three parallel sessions: 

  • - Mathematics and Statistics
  • - Computing and information Technology
  • - Secondary School Teachers

There will also be four presentations, three of which are by visiting professors:
