Third Industrial Engineering and Management Conference 2014 (IEM3-2014)

Event Date(s): 05/12/2014 - 06/12/2014

Location: Faculty of Engineering

In today’s dynamic world, a new piece of legislation, market imperatives, management initiatives and new technology create projects that need to be managed, often across departmental or disciplinary lines. Project Engineering/Management is a core discipline of Industrial Engineering and Management (IEM) that can bring significant benefits to business/engineering organisations.

The Third Industrial Engineering and Management Conference 2014 (IEM3-2014) will be held at the Faculty of Engineering of The University of the West Indies (UWI), St Augustine, Trinidad and Tobago on 5th-6th December, 2014.

In keeping with the past two IEM Conferences in 2006 and 2010, the theme of the 2014 Conference is “The Challenges of Project Engineering and Management in a Sustainable World”. It aims to advance the theory and practice of industrial engineering and management, and to identify recent developments and major challenges in meeting the diverse needs of the Caribbean region.

The organisers of the conference have issued a Call for Papers for IEM2014 and invites papers for presentation, and suggested topics of interests which fall into two groups, 1) Traditional IEM areas and 2) Project management (PM) Focus. Deadline is October 1, 2014.
