Confucius Institute Day

Event Date(s): 27/09/2014

Location: Brian Lara Promenade, Port-of-Spain

The University of the West Indies, St. Augustine established a Confucius Institute in Trinidad and Tobago on October 23, 2013.

On that date, the St. Augustine Confucius Institute became one of over 400 of these unique non-profit public institutions established by the Office of Chinese Language Council International (HANBAN) for the promotion of Chinese language and culture.

The global network of Confucius Institutes celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. Our local Confucius Institute would like to celebrate this event and their first anniversary with a day of activities on September 27, 2014. This is a celebration that takes place simultaneously throughout the world.

From 10am-4pm on Saturday September 27, at the Brian Lara Promenade, Port-of-Spain, the Confucius Institute will treat the public to a wide range of exciting cultural activities on Confucius Institute Day!

Admission is free.
