The St. Augustine Campus will be hosting the UWI Games 2015 from the May 21-29. It is the biennial competition among the St. Augustine, Mona, Cave Hill and Open campuses in ten sporting disciplines.

The St. Augustine campus is kicking off this event with a torch run and media launch at 3pm.

Come out and cheer and find out more about The UWI games as the torch runner lights the way from the South Western end of SPEC along Wooding Drive all the way to the University Drive. 

Event Pathway:

o Starting on the South Western end of SPEC (i.e.  the Car park behind the Director’s Office) proceeding West onto Wooding Drive then turning right (i.e. North)

o Veering left (i.e. West) along Wooding Drive then right (i.e. North) in front of the Principal’s office

o Turning right (i.e. East) before the Admin East Football Field and right (i.e. South) onto Lewis Avenue (i.e. passing by Daaga Auditorium, CLL, HR, Student Admin and Office of the Deputy Principal)

o Turning right (i.e. West) at the end of Lewis Avenue onto Wooding Drive veering right (i.e. North) with the first Torch handover happening in front of the Principal’s Office (just behind the DP’s Office)

o Continuing along Wooding Drive in a Northerly direction to the front of the Office of the Registrar

o Veering left (i.e. West) onto Preston Lane (i.e. passing in front of Dudley Huggins Building)

o Turning left (i.e. South) on the roadway passing in front of CFNI and the Soil Science Lab

o Then veering left (i.e. East) towards the Sir Frank Stockdale Building before right (i.e. South) along the walkway that leads in front of Chemistry through Engineering Block 13 (N.B. the second [2nd] Torch handover will occur around Chemistry)

o Then veering left (i.e. East) towards the Alma Jordan Library (N.B. the third [3rd] and final Torch handover will occur in front the Library)

o Then heading South towards University Drive to follow the roadway to the Planning and Development Office and Canada Hall onto Wooding Drive (heading North) back to the Start Point (i.e. SPEC).
