The Pilot Digitisation Project was a joint venture between the Government Information Services Limited (GISL) and The University of the West Indies (UWI) to document and digitise some of the archival broadcast recordings that are in the custody of GISL. To commemorate this achievement, they present “A Closing Exercise & Official Presentation of Digitised Content to The UWI by GISL.”
This event takes place from 2 to 4pm.
The collaborative digitisation project was created to preserve and create access to the country’s rich heritage of broadcast recordings.
Experience the high points of this journey at this event through engaging conversations that aim to generate future partnerships with individuals seeking to salvage and showcase our broadcast heritage for the benefit of present and successive generations.
