The Engineering Institute of the Faculty of Engineering presents an interactive one-day Designers’ Workshop on The Role of Intellectual Property in the World of Design.

This takes place Thursday July 23 at Room 3, Max Richards Building, Block 13, Faculty of Engineering from 9am to 2pm.

This workshop will be facilitated by Akilah Phillip. Ms. Phillip is an Attorney-At-Law and former media practitioner. As an Intellectual Property Specialist she has worked in the Entertainment Industry for over 10 years and interacted with many facets of the industry from print media, new and upcoming artist and designers to name a few. Ms. Phillip attained her undergraduate degree from the University of London and subsequently successfully completeted her legal training at the Hugh Wooding Law School. She is also the holder of a Masters in Entertainment Law from the University of Westminster, London.
