Members of the public and private sectors, government officials, alumni, present and past members of faculty and administration and members of the Debating Society will discuss the topic: “The UWI, an Agency for Regional Development and Change: Has it Succeeded?” The discussion is aimed at focusing the attention of the audience on the extent to which the UWI, over the past sixty years, has fulfilled its mission to “unlock the potential of the region” and how the institution can strategically re-position itself to further accomplish its goal.
The symposium will be moderated by Chancellor Emeritus, Sir Shridath Ramphal, and will take place in the Social Sciences Lecture Theatre on Tuesday, July 15 from 8.30 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. with a 30 minute coffee break.
