You are invited to LusoFesta 2016!
A week of activities is hosted by the Department of Modern Languages and Linguistics (DMLL) and will take place from April 11 to 15.
This event highlights the impact of the Portuguese language in different countries, and this year Cape Verde is the highlighted Lusophone (Portuguese-official) country. Bahia in Brazil and Porto in Portugal will also be in focus.
On Wednesday April 13 at 6pm there will be a screening of The Second Mother (2015 Brazil).
About the Film
When the estranged daughter of a hard-working live-in housekeeper suddenly appears, the unspoken class barriers that exist within the home are thrown into disarray.
